What kind of clothing is out there that allows astronomy lovers to spout off about their passion?

A friend recently sent me a link to a t-shirt that said: "When I was your age, Pluto was a planet." Cute. Of course the icon for the t-shirt was a very Saturn-looking planet, but I'll cut them some slack. Pluto's not the easiest thing to represent. (Maybe after the New Horizons mission I'll be able to take back those words.)

So it got me thinking, Just what else is out there in clothing for astronomy fans? I headed over to Amazon.com to check it out. The pickins' are pretty slim. I did find a very nice cream and black tie with astronomy drawings on it, but not very useful as I am a woman and never dress up anyhow. There was one t-shirt with a red oval warning sign that said WARNING and TURN OFF THE LIGHTS, TURN ON TO ASTRONOMY. Not that great but I do appreciate the reference to light pollution. One said Astronomy is Universal. And yet another that said Astronomy Rocks. Eh. Nothing worth adding to my Wish List.

Then I found a dealer called Countdown Creations that had a couple of interesting items. An International Space Station athletic dept. t-shirt, for one. But still, these were more official NASA type clothing with patches and emblems. I was looking for funny.

I tried searching for UFO, thinking there would be something humorous. I discovered a company called UFO makes some really hideous pants. One t-shirt said Area 51 Escapee. Not bad. But after a little more search I finally found it. A t-shirt with a bluish ringed planet and moonlets circling with the words "Uranus is Awesome". I laughed.
