Astronomy & SpacePluto Axed
»
I guess nostalgia plays a part in my opinion. Pluto as been considered a planet since before my school days and I hate to see it go but I suppose the Dwarf Planet classification is appropriate. » Laster6 - downsizing the solar system Well, since the alternative was ading three or four more planets, one appreciates the simplification! Pluto shouldn't have been considered a planet: it's about half the size of the moon, and its orbit is hopelessly erratic. Enough with the pluto nostalga! -- posted by Laster6

» angeldust69 - pluto axed?? I find this very curious (I'm a cancerian) as there are lots of concious-evolutionary ideas floatng about stating we are moving toward 5th dimension existence where we can transcend the karmic cycle of death and re-birth - then it should be so that it comes into our reality that the planet that represents death and re-birth is moving away from our 'world'. Just a thought....-- posted by angeldust69
